really sweet looking portable a/c and has fierce cooling power. I live out by Tampa, FL where it stays pretty warm year round. It gets pretty moist here so I run a dehumdifier to maximize the efficiency of the a/c. It cools my 400 sqft living room to a very comfortable temp in slightly over 30 mins. very satisfied.

I thought this unit was a good deal too, until I found puddles of water all over my floor. Checked the manual– all the plugs are in correctly and even made sure the thing was level every way possible. Plugged it back in and more water everywhere. I called customer service (Whynter) and they told me that there is no cover on the internal tank, so water may leak a little (as if that’s ok). Mine is leaking like crazy from the base of the unit where the stainless steel meets the plastic (not the plugs)! Horrible design! I think there is a reason these are going for so cheap. Now I have to stew in the heat while Whynter sends me return postage, so I can put their defective piece of junk in the mail and wait longer for it to get to them and then even longer yet for them to ship me a different unit. Great, and I thought I was buying some relief!

sharp looking A/C. extremely easy to install and great cooling effect. The price is also great for a stainless steel appliance. I think its the only one out there. I would easily recommend.

Installed today, I could not make a phone call without turning it off. It’s very very loud when the exaust fan starts up. I am definitly taking it back. Whynter I’m sure makes other nice products, but they need to work on model# Arc-10D
