On July 11th, we came home to NO air conditioning in Jacksonville Fl. When I called the service people I was informed that they could not come out until the next day. When they did come out, the conclusion was that the HVAC system would have to be replaced and that it could not be scheduled until the 18th. With that, I started looking into a short term solution until system is replaced. We found this product at Best Buy. I checked the reviews on Epinions and decided that we should give it a try.

We set the machine up in the door way between the Master Bedroom and bathroom. Vented the hose out the bathroom window and started it up about 30 minutes before going to bed. I set it at 65 degrees and the fan on high. I did not set the dry mode because I was concerned with how fast the water reservoir would fill. It ran for 7.5 hours with no problems. I will find out today when I get home how much water is actually in the reservoir.

I don’t know what the actual temperature got to in the room, but this morning I pulled the sheet up because I was a little cool. Apparently, the ACP102PS did the job I bought it to do. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for an Air conditioner where a window unit is not practical. I can’t speak to long term effectiveness, but I only plan on 5 days of continual use. After that, it will be used if I am working on a project in the Garage or the barn.
