I just bought this today so understand I’m only grading it on a few hours of use.
So far, the air conditioner was easy to install and it works fine.I chose a small air conditioner b/c I wanted one I could lift and install myself (I am female) and because I wanted to save money. I have a 5th floor walkup NYC apt that is about 400SQ. I didn’t get this unit expecting it to cool the whole place well (that was my compromise for the size) — just take the edge off. Without any air conditioning (my old one broke), it was literally 92 degrees in here around the clock for the past week. Now, after just 2 hours of having this unit run at the 60 degree setting, it is already down to 88 at the opposite end of the apt from where the air con is. The temperature throughout the apt is very livable already as I sit here in a tshirt and shorts.

I purchased 2 of these units yesterday at BJ wholesale club for $250.00 each “awesome deal”. My windows are small as I live in an attic apartment in an old home. HOT and HUMID. I haven’t even put the 2nd one in yet and I think I may not have to. My entire apartment is probably about 750 square feet. It was 88 yesterday and it kept my front room (150 sq feet) plus down the hall very cool and comfortable. After the apartment was cooled down I switched it to the Energy Save and set to 70. The A/C worked beautifully. My concern was that I wanted to leave on all day but I didn’t want it to run constantly…and it didn’t it shut off and on perfectly. I will have to put the other one in because it would be too much for the one to maintain the entire apartment.

My old Air Conditioner died on me in late August and the pickings on new A.C.’s were slim. We mostly live in a tiny 12′x17′ room but there is a kitchen with a full sized oven so we needed to exceed the recommended BTUs.
This A.C. is 12,000 BTUs and I LOVE IT! I can’t stand being warm so this fulfills my daily requirement of cold.
I agree with the other reviews about the unit being loud and the open/close vent lever being flimsy. The remote has a narrow window on the A.C. and I have to aim it directly right on but I usually get it on the second try.

The latest in the Roomba series is the Discovery model. It cleans well on my tile floors, as do the previous Roombas. It is also easy to take apart to clean. The brush assembly snaps apart (no screws to remove), making the unit easy to clean after use. One drawback is the rotating edge brush can not be easily dismantled, with the result that hair wraps around the drive shaft and it can’t be removed.

I purchased this air conditioner Sharp CV-P10MX only 3 months ago from futureshop in Ottawa, Canada and used it very little all of sudden stopped cooling and started to make sound like a tractor.
This unit looks very sleek and the operation is very quite, you can have it running in your bedroom and actually fall sleep.
The remote works fine, but it is missing backlit, if middle of the nigh you want to turn it on/off or change the setting have to turn the light on.

BUYING ADVICE
Stay away! Sharp really bungled this one.
FLAW #1 — LOUD
Unlike Sharp’s previous “Library Quiet” models, this unit’s fan is jet-engine loud.
FLAW #2 — BLINDINGLY BRIGHT
Even if you are hearing-impaired, still stay away! The unit’s construction is poor. Majority of the unit is bright white styrofoam. Sunlight shines through the unit during the day. And the styrofoam amplifies normal operating noises.
FLAW #3 — NOAH GET YOUR ARK

I bought this model from Costco. This was during a heat wave so maybe just maybe that’s why this air conditioner wasn’t functioning properly. My room is 100 square feet which isn’t much. Installation was easy and the instructions were helpful. No problems there. Then I turned it on. The compressor is a loud one, definitely over 50 db. Even on “low” the loudness remained. I closed my window, shut my door, and waited a good 45 minutes until returning. When I opened my door, I was greeted with warm air. Not even room temperature, WARM. I went up close to it to make sure it was functioning and it was. The air coming out was really cold.
