I bought Sunpentown SF-608R Air Cooler Fan this summer for our unusually hot, dry summer weather. The ice chamber made all the difference in its cooling. Now I am using it for added humidity to compensate for drying forced air heat. The automatic swing, timer and easy portability are wonderful. Not having to replace the filters — just clean them — is such a savings! I do wish it was easier to find an additional photocatalysis filter, as I misplaced it at one point.

really quite an average product that I would classify as borderline substandard. doesn’t quite cool and it doesn’t quite blow cool air as expected. I am by no means expecting A/C type cooling but it is marginally better than a fan. Customer service at the manufacturer was also subpar and almost impossible to reach. Not only would I not recommend, I would strongly advise against this product.
