I’m not sure what was worse. The fact that two of these units lasted a grand total of two months between them. Or that the company would not honor its own warranty.

I bought a 12K earlier this year. It worked well for a few weeks before it started leaking water all over my floor.

To its credit, the manufacturer sent me a new unit and picked up the old one.

The replacement lasted about three weeks. Then the cooling unit stopped working, leaving me with nothing but a rather expensive fan.

I contacted the company. The representative said they’d take care of me. But they didn’t. In fact, after that reassuring conversation, the representative simply stopped returning my calls or emails.

I’m now trying to return the unit to the retailer I purchased it from.

Let’s be honest - it would have been better if I had taken the money I wasted on these colossal pieces of crap and invested it in Enron. I bought two - I have had both replaced twice via the warranty. Getting them replaced required nearly an act of Congress. Once this current summer is over I am consigning both of these straight to the dumpster and putting in a mini-duct system.
