This portable air conditioner has electronic controls with easy-to-use push button and LCD display. The window bracket is for easy installation and exhausting of hot air. The exhaust hose is included to ensure proper cooling–the unit must be vented with the exhaust hose. The remote control allows you to easily adjust the comfort level from anywhere in the room. The quick cooling unit is ready to cool after only 3-5 minutes of operation.

The price : $399.00This unit can only function when the outside temperature is lower than 75 degrees. So then why would you need it? Customer Service is ineffective, their service locations can be 75-100 miles away and are ineffective at best. My unit stopped working after a year and Delonghi (the manufacturer) was completely unhelpful. The product was still covered by warranty, but the repair shop (50 miles from my home) was only able to test it in a 70 degree environment, so they returned it to me and told me nothing was wrong with it. Delonghi refuses to do anything additional, telling me that I should just return it to the repair shop again, but that if it is not cooling then it is clearly not working.

Don’t buy this product if you want a good customer service experience or a lasting product

This unit works marginally to keep one person cool if they are in it’s path. Routing the exhaust to the outside is a pain, although this is probably true of all similar units.

Our particular unit has a safety device/plug that has started kicking out constantly. It apparently is like a ground fault unit possibly combined with a voltage variation sensor. We can’t keep it running. At one time, our unit was turned off and the thing kicked out anyway. I am taking steps to eliminate this “safety device” so we can at least get some benefit for our money.
