The CP10C10 features a 12-hour electronic timer that lets you program on/off times and the MoneySaver setting saves energy by cycling the fan with the compressor. It also features a Dry Mode for greater dehumidification.

The price : $289.00My trusty old 8000 BTU Fedders died after 17 years of faithful service. I decided that it was time to get a new a/c that was at least 10,000 BTU.I buy my air-conditioners and keep them until they conk out.

This Friedrich was offered to me at $243.Since i already have a 8000 BTU Friedrich X-STAR in my bedroom that has given me 5 years of excellent service-i decided to get a Friedrich this time around.

My only complaint was that this model is made in China,and the instructions were probably translated into english. Getting it into the window was much more difficult than my other Friedrich;but once the frame-brackets are in,the chassis simply slides in. This model has two support brackets which is a very worthwhile safety feature.

However it started making rattling noises when on the F3 setting yesterday. I called Friedrich in San Antonio earlier today,and they gave me the name and # of the local Friedrich authorized repair facility.Turned out that my unit needed 2 washers and they adjusted the height of the fan 1-16″. All is fine now- Friedrich still has excellent customer service- far superior to the competing brands.
