Pinguino is the only portable air conditioner with 3M Filtrete electrostatic anti-bacterial filtration. This technology removes 99.97% of airborne particles without reducing airflow, optimizing air quality and circulation while extending the life of the unit. And it never needs cleaning just replace once a year.
The price : $499.00I purchased this AC 3 summers ago while I was living in a rented condominium with tall skinny horizontally-sliding windows, too narrow for even the casement-window style air conditioners. Installing a through-the-wall AC was simply not an option, the …

I’m using that Air-Conditioner for the 3rd year. This year though, it doesn’t seem to cool down a bit the flat approx. 640 sq. ft. Besides, the [ green light ] is flickering and very weak. The filter is clean … is the green light flickering is a sign of a malfunctioning part in the unit ?
Please reply !
Thank you so much in advance.

Nothing special. This unit freezes up a lot in a room that is 15×10x10. Once it freezes it has to be thawed (which takes about 6 hours, and gets water EVERYWHERE). I would keep looking.
–Called Customer Service. I have to pay shipping back to them for repairs ($85)! ouch! So someplace else. This went out after only 2 months of use!
We had two DeLonghis — a smaller one and a bigger one with a water tank. Both died within 3 years. When we looked for product support, we found little help despite living in New York City, where you can usually find someone to repair anything.
Just a word of caution: before you buy, ask local AC repair people if they’ll service these units. If not, forget it. Because they will break, and you’ll be stuck, just like us.
