I’ve owned this portable for about year and I am quite satisfied with it. I have tried a couple types (bought and returned), and I find this so far the best for me. I keep it in the kitchen and it really helps to clean up those incidental spills such spilled (dry) food ingredients while your preparing meals, especially with the kids around. The 15.6 volt motor gives you what I consider satisfactory vacuum power (I think I would always like more, but is that even an option? and at what cost?).
The wall mounted charger is ok; but I find you have to be just a little bit careful that you’ve properly engaged the unit to hang.
It is fairly easy to use and to clean (though I think it could stand some redesigning to keep particles from getting stuck in internal crevasses). I clean the filter by taking it outside, removing it and using a dry brush. Eventually I will have replace it. You may have noted that the replacement filter generally sells for $10 . I found a tip from a user on Amazon.com that said one could buy part number 244631-00 (unpackaged versions of the filter, instead of #VF100H) direct from Black and Decker for about $3. He bought apparently a couple of things and shipping was about another $3. So I’ll try that out when the time comes.
Other than that, I wish it were rated for wet applications, but overall it helps me a lot and does a good job for a compact portable design.
